Hello! I am a 2026 graduate of Colorado College with a Bachelors in Film & Media Studies with minors in Performance Design and Political Science.
Over the course of my academic career, I have cultivated a strong passion for documentary storytelling that focuses on community. The type of nonfiction stories that linger in my mind the longest are the ones that show me a whole world through the lens of the mundane. I specialize in stories of marginalized communities, specifically in those connected to my roots of Mexico. Through my student films, I have documented stories ranging from the resilience of stray dogs to intimate portraits of community, culture, and identity. I have also explored a wide range of filmmaking styles, including documentary, narrative, horror, and animation.
Alongside documentary filmmaking, I have developed a passion for live broadcasting and sports media. I enjoy the fast-paced, collaborative nature of live production and the challenge of capturing decisive moments in real time. My goal is to pursue a career in sports broadcasting and producing live sports events. I am particularly interested in production coordination, live event operations, and broadcast production, where collaboration, storytelling, and on demand solutions come together.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago consisting of a close-knit family with Mexican roots. At home, I live with my parents, my older brother, two dogs, and a cat. During my free time, I enjoy creating art, particularly painting. I’ve sold, commissioned, and gifted paintings of all different styles and sizes, but I would describe my art style as dramatic, bold, and colorful. I also enjoy reading, hot studio training, exploring my spirituality, and watching movies and TV shows.
